Digital Divide

When we were assigned to investigate and research the topic of digital divide, I was drawn back to my days in elementary school. Back in the early 1990’s, my school was on the leading edge of technology education, and yet, many of my friends did not have computers or internet at home.  So this topic was very near my heart. Also, my school is in the discussion of going 1:1 with iPads in the next couple of years, so I focused my research and my project on how older faculty might be at a disadvantage to new educational technology and how might students react with new technology in the classroom. What are the assumptions beginning made by teachers and students when it comes to what is good educational technology? Below is my presentation. (I used Keynote because I don’t like Microsoft products!)
